Suze Rotolo, Bob Dylan's Muse, Dies at 67

11|03|01 ~ Bob Dylan described her vividly in his 2004 memoir; "Right from the start I couldn't take my eyes off her. She was the most erotic thing I'd ever seen. She was fair skinned and golden haired, full-blood Italian. The air was suddenly filled with banana leaves. We started talking and my head started to spin. Cupid's arrow had whistled past my ears before, but this time it hit me in the heart and the weight of it dragged me overboard."

Suze Rotolo was indeed a "full-blood" Italian. Her mother was from Piacenza and was an editor and columnist for the Italian communist paper "L'Unita'. Her father, an artist and union organizer, was from Sicily. Her mother sent Suze to Perugia to separate her from Dylan. While she was away, Dylan wrote the love song "Don't Think Twice, It's All Right."
